HUNTSVILLE — Sam Houston will travel to No. 22 Liberty for a Conference USA weekend series at Liberty Softball Stadium. 

The Bearkats (23-21, 11-7 CUSA) are currently tied for second in the CUSA standings with FIU and Louisiana Tech. 

This weekend marks Sam Houston's first trip to Lynchburg, Virginia. The all-time series between the Bearkats and Flames is tied 2-2. The last meeting ended in an 8-5 win for the Kats in Huntsville, but Liberty took the series 2-1. 

Sam Houston is coming off its second CUSA sweep of the season, capped by a three-home run performance on Sunday against UTEP.  

The Bearkats have homered in six straight games. Bella Perez leads the team with 11 home runs and is chasing the single-season program record of 13.
