Stewart posted 11 All-Southland Conference performances during his track career from 1999 to 2003. He holds school records for the long jump indoors and both the 100 and 200 meter dashes outdoors. In 2003, he earned awards at the Southland outdoor championships as the “Outstanding Men's Athlete”, “Outstanding Men's Runner Events Athlete” and “High Point Scorer.” He was a top 16 performer at the 2000 NCAA Championships in the 200 meters and was a finalist at NCAA Regionals in both the 100 and 200 meter dashs in 2003
