Hall of Honor
Sewell won seven Southland Conference pole vault championships and stands as one of five Sam Houston women to earn NCAA Division I outdoor track and field All-America honors. The Rockwall product helped lead the Kats to Southland Conference women's track and field championships outdoors in 2005 and indoors in 2007. She earned All-Southland Conference honors eight times. She was named as Southland Indoor Women's Outstanding Field Performer in 2007. She was a provisional NCAA qualifier indoors in 2005 and was a three-time NCAA national qualifier outdoors. She is one of two Sam Houston women to win an NCAA regional championship. The only Bearkat to win a Texas Relays championship, her Texas Relay's gold medal in 2007 was one of nine outdoor individual titles she won as a senior.
