
Oklahoma State defeats Sam Houston 90-36 Saturday

STILLWATER, OK ? Oklahoma State used its size and depth to overwhelm the Sam Houston State women's basketball team as the Cowgirls defeated the Bearkats 90-36 Saturday afternoon in a non-conference game.
Britney Harris and Deltrice Daniel led Sam Houston each with eight points. LaToya Bennett, Lydia Gonzales, and Whitney Smith scored six points apiece. Andrea Riley led Oklahoma State with 18 points as five Cowgirls scored in double figures.
Gonzales gave the Bearkats their own lead of the day, scoring the game's first points at the 18:43 mark of the first half. The Cowgirls went on a 21-2 run to go up 21-4 and led 41-20 at intermission.
Oklahoma State scored 39 points off Sam Houston's 32 turnovers with 66 of their 90 points coming in the paint. The Cowgirls shot 54.9 per cent from the floor (39 of 71) while Sam Houston hit 17 of 58 shots for 29.3 per cent.
Sam Houston's next action will be the Tulsa University Thanksgiving Invitational which will be played Friday and Saturday in Tulsa, OK
