Women's basketball signs Zoe Tucker

Zoe Tucker, a 6-1 forward/center from Cy Creek High School, has signed a letter-of-intent to attend Sam Houston State and play women's basketball for Bearkat head coach Brenda Nichols.
Tucker, a senior at Cy Creek, earned first team All-District honors as a junior in 2008-09. She ranked among the top 10 rebounders in Houston area Class 5A high schools and was an all-tournament selection at the Conroe Classic.
She also is a top student with a 3.8 grade point average going into her senior year.
"Zoe is a quality student-athlete and a quality person," Nichols said. "We are very excited to have her sign with us this fall and look forward to having her join the Bearkat women's basketball family next season."
Tucker is the second player to sign with Sam Houston during the 2009 early period. Also signing with the Bearkats was 6-1 Ashton Jones of Cy Woods High School.
