
Women's basketball adds Willis, Wallace

HUNTSVILLE – The Sam Houston women's basketball head coach Ravon Justice has announced the addition Mar'Cyah "MiMi" Willis and Hannah Wallace for the upcoming 2026-27 season.Â
Willis is a guard who spent the past two seasons playing 40 total games for Tarleton while Wallace will add immediate help to the backcourt after also playing in 40 games over the past two years at Saint Louis. Â

Willis stepped into a more prominent role for the Texans in 2025-26, averaging 3.2 points and 1.5 rebounds over 17.9 minutes per game in her second year at the college level. She reached the college level after a standout career at La Vega HS where she scored over 1,200 points in her career and led the Lady Pirates to back-to-back state titles as a junior.Â

Wallace joins the Kats after playing in 40 games and making 20 starts for the Billikens over the past two seasons. She averaged 3.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in an average of 20.2 minutes per game in her SLU career which followed a prep career which saw her earn all-conference honors and lead Cardinal Ritter to a league title. Â

Hannah is a dynamic guard known for her energy and tenacity. Her versatile playing style will create challenges for many teams. As a tenacious defender, she brings an intensity that disrupts opponents. I'm delighted to have such a fierce competitor join us.
