Jasmine Johnson signs with women's basketball

Jasmine Johnson, a 5-7 point guard from Marshall High School in Missouri City, has signed a letter-of-intent to attend Sam Houston State University and play women's basketball for head coach Brenda Nichols.
Johnson averaged 13.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals for Marshall teams that have earned state playoff berths the past two seasons.
She was a first team All-District selection in 2010 and was named second team All-District in 2009. She also was her team's "Most Valuable Player" as a junior.
Johnson also played volleyball for Marshall, earning first team All-District honors.
