The Sam Houston State athletic department, in conjunction with the university, is currently conducting a feasibility study for the enhancement of Bearkat athletics. One part of this study is an evaluation on the benefits of moving the football program to the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). As part of the process, the institution would like to gain insight from the students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community on ways to strengthen the Sam Houston State athletic programs.
