Juan Ponce led the men with a third place finish on the 7.5 K course with a time of 25:50.39.
Other Sam Houston men's finishes included Karl Schreiber seventh 25:56.54; Patrick Pitts 9th 26:05.76; Ryan Saam 10th 26:10.59; Clint Anders 17th 26:47.43; Zach Goodlander 20th 27:02.81; Logan Terry 21st 27:03.38; Patrick Krol 22nd 27:10.37; and Freddy Arellano 28th 28:37.25.
The University of Texas at San Antonio won the men's team title with 35 points. Houston was the runner-up with Sam Houston in third and Texas State fourth.
Solenn Riou took top honors for the Bearkat women with a fourth place finish and a time of 18:53.30. Other Sam Houston finishes were Alyssa Dooley 11th 19:1417; Ana Moreno 24th 20:03.92; Nicole Aponte 27th 20:28.18 and Haley West 32nd 21:02.20.
The University of Texas won the women's race. UTSA was the runner-up followed by Sam Houston and the University of Houston.
