Rosalind Jennings and Stacy Stephens have joined Sam Houston head coach Brenda Welch-Nichols' women's basketball staff as assistant coaches.
Jennings has been the head women's basketball coach at Alabama Southern Community College since 2006. Stephens comes to Huntsville from the University of Texas at Austin where she has served as women's basketball special assistant since 2012.
“It's exciting to add two outstanding coaches to our staff here at Sam Houston,” Nichols said. “Coach Jennings brings experience as a head coach and recruiting coordinator, combined with her tireless work ethic will make her an excellent addition. Coach Stephens has worked as an assistant coach and played at the highest levels of the sport. That combined with her youthful attitude will bring so much to our Sam Houston program.”
