Bears host SHSU women Saturday afternoon

Sam Houston will be looking to end a three-game losing streak Saturday at 2 p.m. when they take on Central Arkansas at the Farris Center in Conway
The Bearkats own a 5-8 league mark and currently stand in eighth in the league standings. The Bears, who have won four of their last six contests, are 7-6 in the Southland standings.
Guards Shernise Robertson and Taylor Dorsey continue to be the Kats' scoring leaders with averages of 18.7 and 12.9 points per game, respectively.
Maggie Proffitt, who averages 13.9 points per contest, and Kendara Watts, who sports a 11.4 scoring mean, lead the Central Arkansas offense.
Sam Houston and UCA will meet again in Huntsville on Thursday, Feb. 26, in a 6:30 p.m. tilt at Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum.
The game will mark the final home game for the Kat women in 2015. Thursday is “Senior Night” at Johnson Coliseum.
