Voting is down to the Final Four

The voting for the top moments, games, championships and player achievements is down to the Final Four with voting starting back up on Saturday.Â

The bracket started with 68 Bearkat moments and through two weekends of fan voting on twitter (@BearkatSports) the final four is set with three baseball achievements and one football.Â
Â
Representing the Moments Region is the top seeded 2017 baseball team. It was hard to break this down as a single game or championship, so it was all put into one moment. From winning the Southland Tournament, to coming out of the losers bracket at the Lubbock Regional to advance to the Super Regionals to the press conference after. Those three weeks were something to remember.Â

The Super Regional team will matchup with the No. 3 seed 1996 baseball team that knocked off Miami in the first game of the Austin Regional. The Kats entered the tournament as the No. 6 seed in the regional and Miami was the No. 2 team in the country, led by Pat Burrell and Alex Cora. The Kats rallied from 5-2 down to win it 5-4 for one of the biggest upsets in NCAA tournament history.Â

On the other half of the bracket in the players region, the No. 3 seed Luke Prihoda pulled off the upset over top seed Jeremiah Briscoe to advance to the Final Four. In the 2007 season, Prihoda was named the Southland Pitcher of the year, NCBWA National Stopper of the Year and was a first-team All-American. He finished the year with 18 saves which was tops in the nation.Â

Prihoda will face the top seeded 2011 Bearkat football team which advanced out of the Championships Region. The Bearkats won their first Southland title in seven years, completing a perfect regular season and reaching No. 1 in the country for the first time in program history. The Kats ultimately advanced to the FCS National Championship game in Frisco.Â
