TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Courtney Cleveland pumped in 23 points, but Sam Houston could not get much else going on Monday morning as the Alabama Crimson Tide handed the Bearkats a 84-50 defeat at Coleman Coliseum.

Cleveland hit 10 of her 17 shots from the floor and added four rebounds, setting a new season high in scoring in the process; however, she was the only Bearkat (4-5) to reach double figures in the game, with LeAndra Echi also adding eight points.

The Kats were right there after a quarter of play, down just 15-14, but Bama (9-2) outscored Sam Houston 53-21 in the second and third periods to open up the game, picking up the 800^th win in program history in the process.

Sam Houston will now return home to host Rice on Thursday, December 16. Tipoff is set for 6:30 pm and will be aired on ESPN+.
