Indiana takes down Kats in Islander Classic finale

CORPUS CHRISTI – The Indiana Hoosiers hit .323 for the match and handed the Sam Houston Bearkats a 3-0 defeat on Saturday morning in the finale of the Islanders Classic at the Dugan Wellness Center.

Catherine Krieger and Hailey Heider each had six kills for the Kats, but as a team SHSU hit -.033 for the match, its first ever with Indiana.

Mady Saris led IU with 15 of IU's 41 kills.
Following the match, both Krieger and Hannah Baker were named to the all-tournament team.

The Kats will next be in action on Tuesday when they head to College Station to take on Texas A&M at Reed Arena. The match will be streamed live on SECN+.
