CUSA WBB scheduled announced

DALLAS – Conference USA released its women's basketball schedule for the 2023-24 season on Monday and Sam Houston will begin its inaugural campaign on the road against Louisiana Tech.

The 72-game slate tips off Jan. 6 and wraps up on March 9 with each of the nine institutions scheduled to play the other eight home-and-away. The 2024 CUSA Basketball Championships will be hosted at Propst Arena in Huntsville, Ala., March 12-16.

The Bearkats will play the Lady Techsters in Ruston, Louisiana on Jan. 6 and will head to Western Kentucky on Jan. 10. Sam Houston will host its first CUSA game against Middle Tennessee State on Jan. 13 before playing Liberty in Huntsville on Jan. 20.

Former WAC foe New Mexico State will host Sam Houston on Jan. 25 followed a trip to UTEP on Jan. 27. The Bearkats welcome Western Kentucky to Johnson Coliseum on Feb. 1 FIU on Feb. 3.

Sam Houston stays at home to play Jacksonville State on Feb. 8 then will go to Miami to play FIU on Feb. 15. The Kats play at Liberty on Feb. 17 then will host the Aggies on Feb. 22.

Sam Houston will face UTEP in Huntsville on Feb. 24 before hitting the road to play Middle Tennessee State on March 2. The Kats play host Louisiana Tech on March 6 and close the regular season at JSU on March 9.
