Kats put perfect home mark on the line

HUNTSVILLE — The Sam Houston women's basketball team will host McMurry in an attempt to defend its perfect mark at Johnson Coliseum on Thursday morning.

The Bearkats are coming off an 11-day break before their matchup against the War Hawks. Sam Houston will then travel to San Antonio to face UTSA on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Bearkats remain undefeated at home with a 4-0 record. Their only losses this season have come on the road against Kansas and Rice.

Thursday's game marks the first meeting between Sam Houston and McMurry in program history. The Bearkats and Roadrunners, on the other hand, are familiar with each other as past Southland Conference rivals.

Sam Houston trails the all-time series against UTSA 19-34, with the Roadrunners winning the most recent matchup, 63-56, at Johnson Coliseum on Nov. 25, 2023.

Both games this week will stream on ESPN+ and can be followed on StatBroadcast.
