MBB to play exhibition for hurricane relief
9/25/2024 2:45:00 PM | Men's Basketball
Southeast Texas was hit hard by a major storm earlier this summer, and two area college basketball programs will meet on the court to help those who were affected by the aftermath.
Â
Sam Houston will tangle with Prairie View in a charity exhibition game at Delmar Fieldhouse in Houston on Oct. 13 at 5 p.m. Proceeds from the game will benefit the Houston Independent School District Foundation to assist those who were affected by Hurricane Beryl throughout the greater Houston area in July.
Â
The defending Conference USA champion Bearkats are 2-0 all-time against the Panthers. Sam Houston won the first meeting 108-103 in 2013 and 61-44 in 2014.
Â
Doors will open two hours before tip-off and tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults. Tickets can be purchased here.
