Kats head into final day of the Saint Mary's Invitational

SEASIDE, Calif. – The Sam Houston men's golf team will go into the final day of the Saint Mary's Invitational in fourteenth place at 23 over par after 36 holes of play at Bayonet Golf Course on Tuesday.
The Bearkats shot +9 in the round one and +14 in round two. Jackson Hymer sits in 35th after firing off 74-73 through two rounds of play. Sebastian May had four birdies to shoot 74 and later shot 76 with two birdies.
Alex Malanga and Grayson Petru are tied for 58th shooting seven over par. Malanga shot 76-75 with three birdies in the first round. Petru had four birdies to shoot 73 and later shot 78. Caleb Lumpkin fired off 88-84 with a birdie in each round.
The final round of the Saint Mary's Invitational is set to begin at 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday. Live scoring can be followed on Scoreboard by Clippd.
