Kats win to close season

NEWARK, Del. — Sam Houston took Delaware to four sets taking the last three at the Bob Carpenter Center Friday night to close out the 2025 season with a victory.
The Bearkats (11-18, 3-13 CUSA) traded the first two sets with the Blue Hens (8-17, 5-11 CUSA) finally taking the lead in the third 25-21. The Kats traded points throughout the fourth set and settled it with a final score of 25-23 to take the match.
Senior Lauren Malone, recently named CUSA All-Academic Team 2025, led the match in kills with 17. Freshman Chloe Monson joins her in the double digits with 16. Avery Fowler led the match in assists with 37 while Shaelin White led the Kats in digs with 18.
