
Liberty downs Kats in regular season finale

HUNTSVILLE – Liberty won the doubles point and three singles matches to earn at 4-0 dual match victory over Sam Houston on Sunday afternoon at the Beckner Tennis Center in both squad's final regular-season dual match.
The Flames evened their season record to 11-11 with the win. Both squads now look ahead to the upcoming Conference USA Tournament to be hosted by Liberty in Lynchburg, Va., Thursday April 16 through Saturday April 19. The tournament champion will earn the league's NCAA national championship tournament berth.
Liberty opened play by winning the doubles point with a victory at the number one spot and a default at the number three position. Daniella O'Neill and Anika Lemus picked up wins at the number three and five spots and the Flames earned another point with a default at the number six singles.
