HUNTSVILLE – Sam Houston saw its six-game winning streak come to an end Saturday afternoon, falling 68-67 to Middle Tennessee in a down-to-the-wire contest at Johnson Coliseum.

Whitney Dunn led the Kats with 17 points, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc while adding six rebounds and five assists. Nyla Inmon and Deborah Ogayemi each contributed 11 points, while Alaisha Brown posted a season-high 10 points and went a career-best 3-for-4 from three-point range.
Middle Tennessee outscored Sam Houston 36-29 in the second half despite the Bearkats forcing 20 turnovers and recording nine steals. Ogayemi and Fanta Kone paced the defensive effort with three steals apiece, as Sam Houston converted 25 points off turnovers.
