MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Top-seeded Louisiana Tech put an end to Sam Houston's run in the CUSA Tournament on Thursday morning with a 4-0 win in the second round at the MTSU Tennis Courts.

The Bulldogs (18-3) took the doubles point and clinched the match with wins at Nos. 1, 3 and 6 singles to advance to the semifinals where they will take on the winner of No. 4 Delaware and No. 5 Jax State for a berth in the finals.

Aaliyah Hohmann and Ella Fitcher held a 4-3 lead at No. 2 doubles at the clinching point, while Anamaria Kurtiskashvili had already taken the first set and held a lead in Set 2 over Nina Skoric on the No. 2 singles court when the match was completed.

The loss puts an end to the Bearkats' dual-match season with the team closing the year strong with wins in nine of their last 15 matches, including the program's first postseason tournament win since 2022.

Nayuma Suba finished the year with a 14-6 singles record with 13 of those victories coming on the No. 1 court, while Kurtiskashvili (11) and Sara Sadadinovic (10) also reached double-digit singles wins.
