Garlitz, Pyle named CUSA Co-Setters of the Week

DALLAS – Sam Houston's Brenlin Garlitz and Lauren Pyle were named Conference USA Co-Setters of the Week on Monday after directing the Bearkats to the title at the Lamar Invitational.
The setting duo combined for 121 assists across three victories, averaging 11.00 assists per set while helping the Kats hit .272 as a team for the weekend.
Garlitz and Pyle totaled 47 assists in the tournament-opening win over ULM, with Garlitz leading the way with 24. They combined for another 38 assists later that day against North Dakota, including 22 from Garlitz.
The pair closed the tournament with 36 assists in Saturday's sweep of host Lamar, led by 20 from Garlitz. For the weekend, Garlitz finished with 66 total assists while Pyle added 55.
The Kats will open CUSA play this weekend with a pair of matches at Kennesaw State. Both matches are scheduled to air on ESPN+.
