WBB unveils 2026-27 non-conference schedule

HUNTSVILLE -Â Sam Houston women's basketball will play seven of its 11 nonconference games at Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum in 2026-27, beginning with the season opener against McMurry on Nov. 2.Â
The home slate also includes Jarvis Christian on Nov. 10, Pepperdine on Nov. 24 and UTRGV on Nov. 30. The Bearkats will close nonconference play with home games against Wichita State on Dec. 20 and UNT Dallas on Dec. 29.Â
Sam Houston's road schedule features back-to-back games against SEC opponents in December. The Bearkats travel to Mississippi State on Dec. 6 before making the short trip to College Station to face Texas A&M on Dec. 17 for the Kats' first visit to the Aggies since 2020.Â
The Kats will also visit Houston on Nov. 5, Northern Colorado on Nov. 14 and ULM on Nov. 19.Â
Conference USA play begins Jan. 2 at Missouri State. The 2027 CUSA Basketball Championships are scheduled for March 9-13 at Propst Arena in Huntsville, Ala.Â
