SAM HOUSTON STATE -- Two-year starter for the Bearkats who has scored 508 points and pulled down 360 rebounds in her 48 appearances ... ranked No. 2 in rebounds (9.3) and No. 3 in scoring (12.3) in the Southland Conference in 2008 ... Academic All-Southland Conference with 3.38 grade point average as biology/history major ... along with Whitney Smith, became the first Bearkat women's basketball player since 2004 to average in double figures ... scored in double figures in 19 games ... posted double figure rebounds in 14 contests including career best 18 boards against McNeese State ... career scoring best is 25 points against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Northwestern State last season and McNeese State in 2007 ... played in 20 games as a sophomore in 2007 after joining the team at semester break ... ranked second on team in rebounds per game (5.1) and third in points per contest (8.2) ... scored in double figures six times
