Bearkats Continue to Thrive in 2019-2020
Despite the challenges associated with the COVID-19 national crisis, SHSU student-athletes continued to thrive in 2019-2020, highlighted by Megan McDonald being named as the Southland Conference Student-Athlete of the Year in softball. In all, 23 Bearkats were recognized for their academic achievements by earning 2019-20 Southland Conference (SLC) All-Academic Teams honors.
In addition, SHSU was well represented on the Southland Conference "Commissioner's Honor Roll" with 66 Bearkat student-athletes being recognized in fall 2019 and 114 receiving the honor in spring 2020.
