Accessible Seating & Parking
Wheelchair accessible seating is available on the concourse area of Bowers Stadium on both the home and away side of the stadium.  All accessible seats are reserved. Contact the ticket office at (936) 294-1729 to purchase accessible seats. Wheelchair access is located at the two gates on the West side stands. The ramps at the West side gates are a steep grade. Wheelchair access is also provided through means of an elevator located at the base of the Press Box. A pre-purchased ticket will be required for access. Parking is available directly beside the West stand of Bowers Stadium for Handicapped patrons who present their handicapped parking tag at the gate. This is a guarded lot on game day...please have your parking tag ready to present. 

Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages are not prohibited inside the stadium.

Animals
No pets or animals of any kind are permitted in the stadium, with the exception of service dogs used by guests with disabilities.

Bearkat Sports Network
The Bearkat Sports Network is broadcast locally on 101.7 FM. Broadcasts may also be heard on www.gobearkats.com with the pregame show beginning 30 minutes prior to kickoff. For more information, go to www.gobearkats.com.

Box Office

The main Box Office of Bowers Stadium opens 4 hours prior to kickoff on game days.

Camera Policy
Point-and-shoot cameras are permitted inside the stadium. Professional camera equipment or cameras with long telephoto lenses are prohibited inside the stadium.

Concessions
The concession stands are located on the East and West Concourses at midfield. No outside food or beverages are permitted.

ELEVATORS
NO PUBLIC ELEVATORS
Elevator access is for Media, Suite holders and game service personnel. If elevator access is needed for fans with disabilities, please contact an event staff worker.

Evacuation
In case of evacuation, instructions will be given over the public address system. Gate personnel and ushers will assist in directing fans to the appropriate exits.      

Exiting after Games
Guests will leave the facilities via the main gates. There is no exiting through gates in the South end zone area. Guests are permitted on the field once the visiting team has exited the playing surface.

Fan Code of Conduct
Bearkat fans are the best of the best.  They model this by loudly supporting the Kats and displaying respect and good sportsmanship toward the visiting team and visiting fans.  The NCAA, Southland Conference and SHSU have assigned a high priority to assuring athletic events are conducted in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere which promotes good sportsmanship by spectators, student-athletes and coaches.  We request your cooperation by supporting the participants, officials, those around you, and event management in a positive manner and treating others with courtesy and respect.

First Aid
Fans in the stadium requiring first aid should find a uniformed police officer or Stadium Event Staff Personnel. EMS is located under the scoreboard.

Game Day Policies
Rowdy, threatening, unsafe or inappropriate conduct including profane, racial, sexist, abusive or intimidating comments or actions, fighting, smoking, drunkenness and throwing of any object in the stadium will not be tolerated and can result in ejection, arrest and/or loss of ticket privileges.  SHSU policy strictly prohibits anyone from entering the sideline or field without proper credentials.  Violators will be arrested.  SHSU reserves the right to remove the ticket holder from the premises if, in the sole discretion of security personnel, the ticket holder's conduct endangers or disrupts the environment.  All people must have a ticket, regardless of age, to enter the stadium.  

Gates Open/Gate & Elevator Locations
Public Will Call is located at Gates 2 and 3 and opens 4 hours prior to kickoff.  Elevator access opens 90 minutes prior to kickoff for Suite Holders only.  All gates open 90 minutes before kickoff.

High School Coaches
Texas High School Coaches may present their Texas High School Association Coaches card to receive complimentary admission for themselves and one guest. Coaches must have a valid card present to receive tickets. Tickets may be picked up beginning four hours prior to kickoff at the Bowers Stadium Box Office located on the West Side of the Stadium by coming up to any of the six windows. Tickets may not be picked up in advance, and coaches do not have to call ahead to reserve tickets.

Inclement Weather 
In the event of inclement weather, (i.e. dangerous winds, tornado, electrical storm, etc.) all guests will be advised that it is in their best interest to seek shelter. Emergency instructions will be delivered via the public address system and the message boards when possible.

Lost Children
Parents/guardians with a lost child should contact the nearest police officer or event staff member.  That person will then contact the proper personnel to insure the quickest remedy to the situation.  A lost child will be taken to EMS personnel under the scoreboard for safe keeping until the situation is resolved.

If a child gets separated from his/her party, he/she should notify the nearest police officer or event staff member. If the child knows his/her seat location, attempts will be made to return the child to that location.

Lost & Found
During the game you may check the concession stands or the main ticket booth for lost items.  After the game, all unclaimed items will be turned over to the facilities operations manager.  If you have any questions please contact (936) 294-2521.

Merchandise 
Merchandise is available for purchase inside Bowers Stadium on the Northwest ramp.

Paging and Announcements
The public address system is used for game related information and emergency announcements only.  In the event of an emergency in which guests attending the game must be located, please contact an usher or an event staff worker.

Parking
All parking on the Sam Houston State campus (excluding the parking garage) are available for game day parking at no cost. The parking lot immediately in front of the Ron Mafrige field house and the lot at Don Sanders Stadium are closed on game day. The main parking lot at Bowers Stadium is for pass parking only. · General Public Parking
Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Free campus public parking is available between the intramural fields and Johnson Coliseum. Parking along the streets will not be permitted and will be subject to towing.  Vehicles parked in the median on Bearkat Boulevard will be towed.

· Reserved Parking
Certain lots will be reserved on game days.  Parking passes for Bearkat games at Bowers Stadium are available through the Bearkat Champions Fund.  For information about Bearkat Champions, please go to www.gobearkats.com.

· Disability Parking 
Disability parking with a state-issued hang tag is available in the west parking lot on the press box side of the stadium. Please contact the Ticket Office for other request or questions.

Other items not mentioned on the list may be determined prohibited at the gate as well.

Radios/Televisions
Single speaker radios with ear phones and hand-held televisions are allowed into the stadium as long as their use does not interfere with other guests' enjoyment of the game.

Refunds, Exchanges, or Cancellations 
All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations on tickets ordered through the SHSU Athletic Ticket Office. Refunds will not be issued due to a time or date change, but the ticket will remain valid for the game if it is made up at a later time. If a game is postponed due to inclement weather, patrons' tickets will be honored at the newly scheduled date or time. In the event a regulation game defined by the NCAA is not played due to weather, Act of God, or any other reason, then the ticket will NOT be subject to any refund but will constitute a rain check that can be either (1) used for admission to the rescheduled game, if any, or (2) exchanged for a ticket of equal or lesser value for any regularly scheduled Sam Houston football home game with in the same season.

Replacement Ticket Policy
Please handle your tickets with care. The Athletic Ticket Office will charge full price plus a non-refundable processing charge for all replacement tickets issued. This includes tickets that are lost, stolen or left at home. This service is available to season ticket holders and single-game mail orders, telephone and on-line buyers of record. Washed tickets will be replaced without charge if remaining portions can be recognized and the location can be identified.

Smoking/Tobacco Policy
Sam Houston State University is a smoke and tobacco free campus. Smoking is not permitted inside Bowers Stadium.

Tailgating Locations & Policies
Tailgating is available and encouraged in all public parking lots. Tailgating in Bearkat Alley opens 2 hours prior to kickoff and is located in the North Parking lot behind the scoreboard. Outlined below are additional tailgating reminders:

• Glass beverage containers are not allowed.
• Charcoal must be disposed of properly. Please do not place charcoal or other flammables in trash cans, under trees or leave it in the parking areas.
• Companies may not issue sample products without being properly licensed by the University. Food, drink, and other items may neither be sold nor given to the general public. Additionally, any promotional activity must be approved in advance by the Sam Houston State Athletic Department's Marketing/Licensing office.
• Solicitations of any kind within the facilities or on University grounds are prohibited unless specifically approved by the University. The distribution of flyers or leaflets on parked vehicles is expressly prohibited.
• Political signage that implies endorsement of any political candidate or any political issue may not be displayed nor may political materials be distributed without prior approval by Sam Houston State University.

Throwing Items
The throwing of items is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated and is grounds from removal from the stadium.

Ticket Information
The Bearkat Ticket Office is located in the West Box Office of Bowers Stadium.  The Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm for advance ticket sales.  Guests can also order tickets by calling 936-294-1729 or by ordering on-line at www.gobearkats.com/tickets/. 

· Season Tickets
Season ticket renewals for football are mailed in April each year.  Payment for season tickets can be made in cash, by check payable to "SHSU", or charged to VISA, Mastercard. All tickets are mailed in August.

· Priority Seating Tickets
Priority ticket seating guidelines are established by the athletic department and the Bearkat Champions Fund.  The guidelines provide the donor with an efficient and equitable method to determine seating eligibility for season tickets as well as post-season tickets.  For information on the Bearkat Champions Fund and priority ticket seating, please go to www.gobearkats.com.  

· Single-Game Tickets
Single-game tickets are available on game day at the Bowers Stadium ticket office on the West side of the stadium between gates 2 and 3. No single game tickets will be sold on game day at the main ticket office in the Ron Mafrige Field House. Single game tickets purchased at the event location may be paid with cash or credit card. Single-game tickets may be purchased online through www.GoBearkats.com at least four hours prior to kickoff and these tickets will be available at Will Call, located on the back of the West Side Press Box.

Team Pass List
Player and Team guests may receive complimentary tickets if their name is included on the pass list for that day's game. Home Team Pass list tickets can be picked up at the table outside the West Box Office of Bowers Stadium. Away Team Pass List tickets can be picked up at Gate 5 (Southeast Corner) of Bowers Stadium. Guest must have a photo ID ready to receive tickets on the pass list. Everyone in your party receiving pass list tickets must be present at the time of pick-up and each person must sign for their ticket.

Will Call
Will call is located at the ticket office between Gates 2 and 3 (West side under press box).  Photo identification or an order confirmation page must be presented in order to receive tickets.  Will Call is available four hours prior to kick-off on game days.
