Compliance for Recruits

Recruiting regulations shall be designed to promote equity among member institutions in their recruiting of prospective student-athletes and to shield them from undue pressures that may interfere with the scholastic or athletics interests of the prospective student-athletes or their educational institutions.

NCAA Bylaw 2.11 The Principle Governing Recruiting.

Any student at an NCAA school, even those not affiliated with a collegiate team, who is seeking to transfer to compete for SHSU athletic teams will need to provide their notification of transfer to their current school before speaking with SHSU coaches. There are also conditions for junior college students seeking to transfer to SHSU.
