Brittany Bigott is in her first season on the Bearkat staff, joining Sam Houston after two seasons as an assistant coach at McNeese.Â
A native of Katy, Bigott's time with the Cowgirls followed a stint as a graduate assistant at Wayne State College in 2017-18.

While at WSU, she earned her master's degree in Sport Management and helped the Wildcats to a 25-7 record before advancing to the second round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference tournament during her year as a graduate assistant.

Bigott received her bachelor's degree from the University of St. Thomas in Houston where she was a 4-year women's basketball letter winner for the Celts from 2014-2017.

She appeared in 87 career games and was a NAIA Scholar-Athlete all four years. Bigott led the team in 3-point field goal percentage as both a freshman and sophomore and was a four-time Academic All-Conference pick as well as UST's Scholar Athlete of the Year her freshman and junior seasons.

Bigott gained coaching experience working with an elite AAU team (BIG Basketball Academy) in Houston from 2013-17.

The graduate of Seven Lakes High School helped her team advance to the regional finals her senior year.
