Kurt Goedrich serves as student assistant coach for the Sam Houston State women's basketball program. He will be responsible for working with the guard play, coordinating film exchange, and assisting in recruiting, scouting, and SHSU basketball camps.
Goedrich worked in 2006-07 as a student assistant. He served as the head coach for a select AAU junior basketball team lin Wilis. He is expected to graduate from Sam Houston State with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and a minor in mathematics in December, 2007. He will pursue a master's degree in education in curriculum and instruction.
A native of Schulenburg, Goedrich played football and basketball for Hallettsville Sacred Heart High School. He earned all-state and all-district honors in both sports.
