Hall of Honor
During his five years as Sam Houston head softball coach, Wayne Daigle's teams rolled up a record of 225 victories and only 124 losses. From 1981 to 1983, the Bearkats dominated the sport winning 115 games while losing only 34. Sam Houston won the 1981 NAIA National Championship, the 1982 NCAA Division II National Title and was the runner-up at the 1983 NCAA Division II College World Series. Daigle was voted as national coach of the year in both 1981 and 1982.
