Troy State 13, Sam Houston 10

ALABAMA - Chad Schramek came off the bench late in the third quarter to lead the Bearkats on a 10-play, 69-yard touchdown drive and 106 yards passing as Sam Houston took 19th ranked Troy to overtime before falling 13-10. With four minutes remaining, Schramek completed a 26-yard pass to Kevin Pesak at the six-yard line, but a fumble cost the Kats the scoring opportunity. After a 42-yard Kat field goal with one second remaining, SHSU opened the overtime with a successful 42-yard three-pointer. An offsides penalty on fourth and one at the four-yard line kept the Trojans' first OT drive alive and three plays later quarterback Mareno Philysaw scored on a busted play from the one. Fabian Johnson blocked two punts for the Bearkats.
