Hunter Pence to speak at baseball function

The second annual Sam Houston State baseball "Meet the Players Banquet" will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Lowman Student Center. This year's event features "A Night With Hunter Pence and Jackie Moore."
Doors open for the banquet at 5:45 p.m. with a silent auction and cash bar. Dinner is at 7 p.m. Business attire is preferred. Tickets are $400 for a table with nine guests, $100 per couple, or $75 per guest.
Both the live and silent auctions will feature quality items. Following the introduction of the 2008 baseball team by Bearkat head coach Mark Johnson, the Astros' talented rookie centerfielder Hunter Pence and former major league manager and current Astros bench coach Jackie Moore will present an entertaining program.
