SAM HOUSTON TENNIS

Irina Sotnikova and Peta Taylor combined for a victory at number one doubles and won at one and three singles, respectively to lead Sam Houston State to a 6-1 Southland Conference women's tennis victory at the UTA Courts Saturday afternoon.

The victory ups Sam Houston State's Southland Conference mark to 4-2. The Bearkats are 5-11 for the season.

Stasa Vugosevic, Patti Manzur, and Roxana Martinez also won for Sam Houston at four, five and six singles. Kuruc and Manzur won the number three doubles to earn the Kats the doubles point.

Sam Houston State will play a 10 a.m. dual match at Texas State-San Marcos Sunday morning.
