2008 Bearkat football season tickets now on sale

Season tickets for Sam Houston State's six 2008 home football games at Bowers Stadium are now on sale.
A reserved chairback season ticket costs $100 (a savings of $30 over buying all six games individually). A general admission season ticket is $62.
Highlighting the six-home schedule are four Southland Conference contests including the Oct. 18 Homecoming matchup with defending league champion McNeese State October 18. Other Southland home opponents are Stephen F. Austin November 1, Southeastern Louisiana November 15, and Texas State-San Marcos November 22.
The Bearkats open the 2008 season Thursday night, August 28, with East Central Oklahoma of the Lone Star Conference. Parent's Weekend September 13 features Sam Houston State's first meeting with Prairie View A&M of the Southwestern Athletic Conference since 1985.
Sam Houston State has finished as the runner-up in the Southland Conference each of the past two seasons and won the the Southland title in 2004. NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision All-America candidates quarterback Rhett Bomar and defensive end Chris Brown return to lead the Bearkats in 2008.
