CUSA updates 2026 schedule

DALLAS – Conference USA announced an updated version of the 2026 football schedule on Wednesday with changes coming in the months of October and November for the Sam Houston Bearkats. Â
The update affects six conference games for the Kats from the original schedule released last month. No non-conference games were affected. Â
It is important to note that all games are subject to date changes, and some dates may move in the coming weeks to accommodate national television selections. A schedule of televised games will be released at a later date.Â
The Kats will still open the 2026 season on September 5 at Troy before playing its first game at a renovated Bowers Stadium on September 12 against Tulsa.Â
