Soccer hosts Thunder Wolves Friday

Sam Houston State plays host to the Colorado State-Pueblo Thunderwolves at 7 p.m. Friday at Pritchett Field as the Bearkats seek to win their second match in a row.
Led by forward Luana Miessa who posted a hat trick with three goals, Sam Houston shut out Prairie View A&M 5-0 Sunday in their last match. The Kats bring a 1-2 record into Friday's contest.
Colorado State-Pueblo competes in the NCAA Division II Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Thunderwolves tied with Augustana College 1-1 in their season opener and shut out Southwest Minnesota 4-0 in their second game.
Friday's matchup is the first of two home contests at Pritchett Field this weekend.
Sam Houston State will host South Alabama Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Bearkats have three more non-conference matches in September, then will begin Southland Conference action on Oct. 3 at Nicholls State.
New head coach Tom Brown returns 19 letter winners off last year's squad that earned the program's second Southland Conference post-season tournament appearance.
