RESULTS from Southland Indoor Track and Field Championships
TyMagic Robinson finished as the runner-up in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.73 seconds to highlight action for the Sam Houston State men in the 30th annual Southland Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The Bearkat men's sprint relay placed third with a time of 3:18.69. Lane Dennis, Jay Newman, Matt Stephenson and Darryl Hayes ran the event for Sam Houston.
Darryl Hayes (48.63) and Lane Dennis (48.75) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 400 meter dash. Scottie Jones finished sixth in the 60 meter hurdles with a mark of 12.58 seconds.
A. J. Edwards (23' 2.75”), C. J. Patterson (22' 10.5”) and Henry Jordan (22' 7.75”) places fourth, fifth and seventh in the long jump. Chris Nelson was sixth in the high jump with a leap of 6' 9”.
Sam Houston State placed seventh in the team competition with 46 points. Texas-San Antonio won the men's indoor title with 120.5 points.
