Bearkats continue to get votes in NCBWA poll

For the second straight week and fourth time this season, the Sam Houston State baseball team in receiving votes in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 30 poll.
The Bearkats are 13-5 on the season and off to their best start as a Division I program. Last week Sam Houston State won three of four games on the road, including an 18-16 contest in Houston against the Cougars. Over the weekend, the Bearkats took two of three from Texas State-San Marcos to improve to 5-1 in Southland Conference play.
The past week, the Bearkats pounded out 40 runs and totaled 65 hits in the four games.
This week the Kats will play at Texas Southern on Tuesday and then begin an eight-game home stand on Friday against defending regular season Southland Conference champs Texas-San Antonio. All three games this weekend can be seen live on Bearkat Vision.
