Sheridan Currie and Giorgia Pozzan won at number one doubles and Currie took the number two singles to provide the Sam Houston State women's tennis team it's only victories in a 6-1 lost to Abilene Christian Monday afternoon.
Abilene Christian won the doubles point thanks to an 8-1 victory at the number two position and a default due to injury at number three. ACU also won five of the six singles.
Currie defeated Cassie Carver 6-4 6-3 at number two singles. Giorgia Pozzan lost in a super tiebreaker 10-7 after splitting sets with Jaclyn Walker.
The Bearkat women's tennis team heads to El Paso to play three dual matches in the UTEP Invitational Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Sam Houston now stands 1-2 for the year. Abilene Christian is 2-0.
