All start times set for football

The start time for all 11 Sam Houston State football games have been set with the Bearkats opening the season on a Saturday night in Waco.
The Bearkats season opener on September 4 against Baylor will get started at 6 p.m. It will mark the Kats' third trip to Waco to take on the Bears since 1990.
The home opener for the Bearkats will be on September 25 against Gardner-Webb. The Family Weekend game will get started at 6 p.m. The get will be televised by the Southland Conference Television Network. There are also several pregame and postgame special events planned for the home opener.
The remainder of the Bearkat home games will all be 2 p.m. kicks as will the game against Stephen F. Austin at Reliant Stadium in Houston on October 23.
In addition to the Baylor game, the Kats will play two other night games on the road. Both the game against Lamar (Oct. 2) and the game at Northwestern State (Oct. 30) will be 6 p.m. starts. The other two road games will be in the middle of the afternoon with the Oct. 9 game against Nicholls starting at 4 p.m. and the November 13 game at Central Arkansas starting at 3 p.m.
Season tickets for the 2010 slate are on sale in the Sam Houston State ticket office. Tickets can be purchased online at www.gobearkats.com or by calling the ticket office at 936-294-1729. Season tickets included reserved seats to the "Battle of the Piney Woods" game against SFA at Reliant Stadium. Also, season ticket holders have the chance to purchase tickets to two of the Kats' road games at Baylor and Lamar.
