With the excitement generated by new head football coach Willie Fritz and his staff, Bearkat football is a hot ticket right now. Season ticket sales are up by more than 20 per cent with fans still purchasing season packages daily.
Purchasing tickets is simple. The quickest and most convenient method is go online to the Bearkat football ticket page on the athletic web site.
Fans also can call or visit the Sam Houston Athletic Ticket Office located in the Ron Mafrige Field House at the south end of Bowers Stadium. Ticket office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Telephone ticket orders are accepted at 936 294-1729.
Single game ticket prices for Sam Houston football at Bowers Stadium are $25 for reserved chairback seats, $20 for midfield bleacher tickets and $15 for general admission.

The Sam Houston home schedule kicks off with the annual Bearkat Family Weekend extravaganza against the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs Saturday Sept. 25 at 6 p.m.
The event will feature a special guest appearance by the Houston Texans cheerleaders, a post-game fireworks extravaganza, military displays and ceremonies, halftime musical performance from the Bearkat marching band plus the excitement of the 26th annual Sam Houston Family Weekend football game.
Hillcrest Ford in Huntsville will honor "Hillcrest Heroes" recognizing the outstanding police and fire department members who work daily to keep the community safe.
All of this excitement will be preceded by one of the biggest tailgate parties in Sam Houston history.
Next on the schedule is the 2010 Homecoming game Saturday October 16 when the Kats host Southeastern Louisiana at 2 p.m.
Event highlights include the annual announcement of the 2010 SHSU Homecoming King and Queen, introduction of the new inductees into the Sam Houston Distinguished Alumni and SHSU athletic Hall of Honor and various class reunions.
Defending Southland Conference co-champion McNeese State comes to Bowers Stadium for 2 p.m. game Saturday November 6. That Saturday afternoon marks the fourth annual "Kats for the Cause Pink Out Day." The special ceremonies will benefit breast cancer education and awareness.
Various Sam Houston student organizations, faculty, staff members and community members have organized a variety of activities for fans to get involved in supporting awareness, changing attitudes and committing others to action regarding breast cancer.
The home schedule concludes Saturday November 20 with the "Kats vs. Cats Battle" between Sam Houston and Texas State at 2 p.m.
The rivalry between the two schools stands as the oldest NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision in Texas and wraps up the regular season for both teams. This year's "Kats vs. Cats" matchup is sure to be a factor in deciding the Southland Conference championship.
Bearkat football fans are reminded that the best bargain available for seeing home games at Bowers Stadium is the new "2-2-2" season ticket plan. Participants in the plan receive two season tickets, two footballs and two Bearkat hats all for only $150.
The "2-2-2" package season tickets are located in the mid-field bleacher reserved section on the west side of Bowers Stadium - the best bleacher seats in the house.
