
Wake Forest transfer Konner Tucker joins Kat basketball

The former Fort Worth Paschal star will red-shirt during the 2010-11 season but will have two years of eligibility remaining for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons.
Tucker averaged 5.2 minutes playing in six games for Wake Forest last year.
As an All-District and All-Metroplex performer in high school, Tucker set the R. L. Paschal all-time scoring mark. As a senior in 2007-08, he averaged 28.7 points per game to lead all Fort Worth/Dallas area in scoring. He was named District 4-5A and TABC Class 5A "Offensive Player of the Year."
In 2008-09, he attended Lon Morris Junior College in Jacksonville where he averaged 16.2 points per game and earned NJCAA Region XIV first team all-conference honors. He led the league in free throw percentage (.835) and ranked No. 18 in NJCAA Division I at the charity line.
Tucker led Lon Morris to a 26-6 overall record as the Bearcats won the Region XIV regular season title.
"Konner Tucker is a proven scorer and will be a great addition for our team," Hooten said. "He is an outstanding student, a quality young man and a terrific player."
Tucker is the son of Mark and Sandra Tucker. His father played basketball at Oklahoma State. His brother Kyle played two seasons at Northern Oklahoma College.
