Kats kick with Lions Nov. 5 moves to 3:30 p.m.

The contest is one of three remaining regular season games for the Bearkats who stand 7-0 for the year and ranked No. 6 nationally in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision poll.
Following this Saturday's home game with Lamar at 2 p.m. at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium, the Bearkats travel to Southeastern Louisiana in Hammond, then meet Northwestern State in SHSU's final regular season home game Nov. 12 and end the schedule with a road matchup with NCAA Division I FCS independent Texas State in San Marcos Nov. 19.
The kickoff for Sam Houston's matchup with Northwestern State Nov. 12 also was switched earlier this week due to the game being designated as the Southland TV Network's "Wild Card Game." The two will kickoff that Saturday at 3:05 p.m.
With the football kickoff change, tip time for the Sam Houston men's basketball season opener versus Howard Payne on Saturday Nov. 12 has been moved back 30 minutes to 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for all Sam Houston State home athletic events are available online now at www.gobearkats.com/tickets or at the SHSU athletic ticket office located in the Ron Mafrige Field House at Bowers Stadium.
Ticket office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The ticket office telephone is (936) 294-1729. Gates for Saturday's game with Lamar open at 12:30 p.m. Tailgate at Bearkat Alley north of the stadium begins at 12 noon.
