Sincere, the multi-purpose player from Galveston Ball, helped the Bearkats to a 49-13 NCAA Division I quarterfinal victory over Montana State last Saturday.
Operating out of Sam Houston State's version of the wildcat, called the "Wild Bearkat," Sincere carried the ball 11 times for 160 yards, a career high rushing total.
He also had a pair of receptions for 43 yards and a 40-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
Swanson helped the Bearkat defense limit Montana State to 349 yards of total offense, registering nine tackles and an interception.
The junior from Waco LaVega picked off a third-quarter pass to set up a back-breaking Sam Houston State touchdown, giving the Bearkats a 35-13 lead with 7:39 left in the third quarter. The interception was Swanson's eighth of the season, a school record.
On the day, Sam Houston State's defense performed well in clutch situations, limiting Montana State to 3 of 14 on third downs.
The victory over Montana State moved SHSU into the NCAA Division I semifinals against Montana. The Bearkats and the Grizzlies meet at 7 p.m. Friday at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium in Huntsville. The winner advances to the national championship game at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas, on Saturday, January 7 at 12 noon.
General admission tickets priced at $15 each are on sale now online at www.gobearkats.com or at the SHSU athletic ticket office located in the Ron Mafrige Field House at Bowers Stadium.
Sam Houston State students may purchase game tickets at the discounted price of $5 thanks to the contributions of local Huntsville and Conroe area businesses. SHSU student tickets will be on sale in the Lowman Student Center mall area through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. Student tickets also are available at the Field House ticket office.
Fans who have pre-purchased tickets are urged to pick up those tickets (and parking passes if applicable) early. A special Will Call window will be open from 12 noon to 6 p.m. at the Bowers Stadium West Side ticket office (located beneath in the press box facing campus) Wednesday and Thursday.

With Sam Houston commencement at 6:30 p.m. and the football game at 7 p.m. Friday, special parking areas for each event have been designated.
