President's Office Supporting Kats

In the event of rain, Sam Houston President Dr. Dana Gibson has announced the Office of the President will be providing 5,000 free rain ponchos for distribution at Friday's game.
Fans are reminded that umbrellas are not allowed inside Elliott T. Bowers Stadium for Bearkat football contests for safety reasons.
General admission tickets priced at $15 are available online at www.gobearkats.com and at the Sam Houston athletic ticket office in the Ron Mafrige Field House at Bowers Stadium. SHSU students may purchase tickets at the discounted rate of $5 thanks to the contributions of Huntsville and Conroe area businesses.
"If it does rain and fans do not have their own rain ponchos, Dr. Gibson and the staff of the President's Office have generously offered to have 5,000 available for fans on a first-come, first-served basis," SHSU athletic director Bobby Williams said.
"It's been amazing how the whole Huntsville and Sam Houston community has gotten behind the Bearkats during this amazing playoff run," Williams added. "We need our fans in stands at Bowers making as much noise as possible when we entertain the Grizzlies Friday night."
The Sam Houston athletic ticket office in the Mafrige Field House will be open until 5 p.m. Thursday. Pre-purchased tickets may be picked up at the Bowers Stadium West Side Ticket Office Thursday until 6 p.m.
The Bowers Stadium West Side Ticket office will open at 12 noon on game day.
"The crowds have been tremendous for our two playoff games and their support has been a major factor in both victories," SHSU head football coach Willie Fritz said. "The football team wants to pay a special thank you for Dr. Gibson and the university administration for their support this year. In two years as head coach and my four years here as an assistant coach and graduate assistant, our crowds have never been as loud and into the games as this. We look for all those fans to be back Friday night. "
