ORU edges Kats 3-2

 Tulsa - Maria Grados scored the winning goal from 15 yards out with 14:48 to play to give Oral Roberts a 3-2 non-conference women's soccer victory over Sam Houston State Friday night.  

Megan Manis and Tricia Mallory scored the Bearkats' goals. Manis tied the match 1-1 with a goal 3:02 before halftime. Jennifer Abernathy opened the scoring for ORU with a tally on a pass from Jordan Parsons just 30 seconds before Manis tied the contest.  

Parsons scored the Eagles' second goal six minutes into the second half. Megan Giley accounted for the assist.  

Mallory tied the contest at 2-2 with a goal from seven yards out after a pass from Jessica Toms.  

Sam Houston drops to 1-2 for the season while ORU equaled their record at 1-1.

Sam Houston State completes their road trip to Oklahoma with a 3 p.m. game Sunday afternoon against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
