Head coach at Bryan Alumni Reception Thursday

The reception at Christopher's World Grille will begin at 6 p.m., immediately followed by dinner featuring remarks from Gibson and Fritz, who will discuss the upcoming football season and the 86th "Battle of the Piney Woods" football game presented by YP.com.
"We have a large alumni base in the Bryan/College Station area and last year more than 100 alumni and friends joined us at Christopher's World Grille," said Charlie Vienne, executive director of the Alumni Association. "It is a great opportunity for our alumni in this area to visit with university administrators and athletic officials, as well as network with other alumni."
The Sam Houston State football team started its 2011 season with a 20-6 victory over Western Illinois and look to be in the thick of this fall's Southland Conference race.
Admission for the reception and dinner is $50 per person. Business attire is recommended.
