Kats and La Tech draw 0-0

Huntsville - Redshirt freshman Mallory Garthwaite picked up her second shutout of the season as Sam Houston State and Louisiana Tech fought to a 0-0 draw in a non-conference women's soccer match Sunday afternoon at Joseph Pritchett Field.

Four of La Tech's 17 shots came in the extra 20 minutes of overtime play while the Bearkats had three shots during extra time.

Paige Rodriguez and Jessica Toms provided most of the Bearkat offense with four shots apiece. Kayla Anderson had a free kick attempt on goal and Anderson, Madison Bible and Kirby Zak each had shot attempts as well.
