Bearkats earn votes in national polls

The Bearkats received 129 votes to stand 30th in the Sports Network poll and 21 votes for the 31st highest total in the Football Championship Subdivision coaches' poll.
Eastern Washington is the No. 1 team in both rankings. Three Southland Conference teams are rated among the top 25 in each poll.
Stephen F. Austin stands 12th, Central Arkansas is 20th and McNeese State is 22nd in the FCS Coaches' rankings. Sports Network lists SFA 12th, Central Arkansas 20th and McNeese State 23rd.
The UCA Bears are Sam Houston State's next opponent after an open date this Saturday.
